This is a grass-roots American effort.

We believe that in a close 2004 election, ordinary Americans armed only with conviction, elbow grease, love of country, the willingness to communicate with their neighbors, and the internet have the potential to decide the election.  This is far superior to an election in which the deciding factor are the partisan political spinmeisters of Madison Avenue and the media armed with hundreds of millions in advertising dollars.

Should you desire to be a part of this effort, to be an area contact, or should you have programing, communications, or video editing skills, or otherwise wish to contribute your ideas or skills to this effort, please contact us below.

While this is an effort begun by, and primarily directed toward, conservatives and Republicans who formerly supported President Bush in the 2000 election, we believe that at this time of national crisis we must set aside partisan differences and work together with fellow Americans from across the political spectrum to elect new leadership for the good of our nation.  We supported President Bush in the 2000 because of shared values.  We continue to support the values he publicly expressed as a candidate.  But we cannot support a sincere and determined President whose policies contradict those values, and who adjusts to fundamental foreign policy mistakes by re-doubling his commitment to misguided, flawed policy and a counterproductive extremist ideology that justifies preemptive invasion and occupation with reasons that are less than truthful.

Many conservatives and Republicans have become disillusioned with Administration foreign policies.

But many are not yet fully aware  of the extent to which this Administration's domestic policies contradict the very conservative values that the President professes, not only with rampant deficits , but with a growth in discretionary domestic spending and entitlements greater than under any Democratic Administration since the Great Society (and greater than has ever occurred with a Republican Congress forced to work with a Democratic president), and with continued erosion of civil liberties.

The consequences of continuing on our present course are too great.   We believe that the preeminent issue in this election is not whether we have a Democrat or Republican in the White House, but whether we have a President committed to persevering in grievous error or a leader willing to admit and correct error.

This is a goal around which we must unite with Americans of good will from differing political perspectives.

We believe ordinary Americans without great resources of advertising dollars can make a difference as never before.  The internet is a leveler, and, unlike the traditional media, allows ideas more complex than sound bites and slogans to thrive.

This election may be decided by a relative handful of votes.

We invite Americans of all political persuasions, united by our common need for new national leadership, to link to and utilize our materials, and join with us in this effort, as you feel appropriate.

The significant spectrum of dissenting views among conservatives, Republicans, and military leaders regarding Iraq is documented at -- "Reconsidering Iraq: Conservative Reflections, Reservations & Dissent"

Alternatives for conservatives for the 2004 election are discussed at  "The Conservative Case Against George W. Bush", and  "The Case for Divided Government", at http://www.republicansforhumility.com/divgov.html
